I'll be honest and say that the transition from high school to college was quite tough for me. I've always felt like a very accomplished person but this semester has really humbled me. I worked extremely hard in high school and accomplished what I would say are amazing things. However, the stuff I did in high school can't carry me now. College is a fresh start and that doesn't mean starting fresh from just the negative points in your past but as well as the positive.
Allow for your past to shape the person you are today, but do not let it define who you are.
On to this week's outfit, W Magazine has to be one of my top fashion magazines. Cate Blanchett graced the cover of their December 2015 issue. Posed gracefully in all black her eyes stole the show while assisted with the pop of a light shade of blue in the background. While this may sound extremely descriptive, I am in love with W Magazine's photography and work with composition, I can only dream to reach that level one day. With that being said I highly encourage you to look at the December highlights online here.
The pop of the light shade of blue inspired my look. I have always loved the look of women in masculine clothing but adding a touch of femininity to it. With this look I started with my turtleneck which is formfitting and added my favorite boyfriend jeans. Now because I'm really short I usually like to roll my jeans at the bottom, I feel like it elongates me. I could be wrong but hey. To finish the look off I added a pair of oxfords, oversized blazer, and a wool hat. These are what add the sense of masculinity to the outfit. Now you could to this same look with a pair of single strap heels and have something more feminine.
"What's the key to your perfection?" She scoffed. " I am not perfect." she insisted. "The wheels are constantly falling off"
